Established in 2017, Crete Creative is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to arts accessibility and education in Crete, IL and beyond.

 

We have made it our mission to foster a welcoming exhibition and education environment across our community. It is our belief that culture and the arts should be accessible to everyone. Talent is not reserved for major cities, and neither is love, interest, or passion for the arts. With the help of our artists and volunteers, we produce solo showcases, group exhibits, and teach classes for all ages, while also providing an intimate platform for local artists. It's no small feat, but we believe that deeper connection to the the arts and humanities is needed now, more than ever.​

 

Our main exhibiting space is now located within the beautiful Crete Public Library at 1177 Main Street, Crete, IL.

Our previous locations included the Crete Old Town Mall and the Victorian Arbor House.

 

We host 6 unique exhibits each year with Opening Receptions, Artist Talks, and Art Markets, culminating in our end-of-the-year celebration that brings together dozens of artists from the region:
